Scheduled Downtime for Propertyware Spring '08
Propertyware is pleased to announce our upcoming Spring ’08 release next week! Please mark your calendars for scheduled maintenance downtime between 5 PM PT /8 PM ET Saturday, April 5th through 10 AM PT/1 PM ET Sunday, April 6th. During this time we will be upgrading to the new version of Propertyware and bringing online new servers for additional performance enhancements.

As is the case with all new versions, all Propertyware customers will be upgraded automatically. You can learn more about the new features which will be rolled out in the Propertyware Spring ’08 release here.

Important Notice

With Propertyware’s Spring ’08 release, we have made numerous product enhancements in order to improve the ease of use and overall functionality of the application. One of the areas in which we have made significant improvements is our Portals module. Currently, this Premium add-on module affords your business a dynamic website which links to your Propertyware account and enables your business to advertise vacancies online, capture prospective tenants, accept online applications, collect 24x7 service requests and much more.

Propertyware’s Spring ’08 release introduces an exciting new enhancement to the Portal for Tenant Interactivity. This Tenant Portal is a secure, self-service website where tenants may log in to view their tenant ledger, shared documents and make electronic payments. We have also moved the 24x7 service request form into the Tenant Portal, eliminating the need to validate incoming work orders received from your tenants.

Propertyware customers subscribing to the Portals module will need to take the following steps to enable their new Tenant Portal:

1. Tenants must register for a Tenant Portal account before submitting service requests. An email address is required for any tenant looking to access the new Tenant Portal. Your tenants can easily register online through the Tenant link on your Portal. Alternatively, your Propertyware account administrator may enable a tenant’s account and send them their login information from their contact record in the Contacts tab of your Propertyware account.

2. The ePayment feature needs to be enabled on your account and requires an additional fee. Interested in accepting online credit card and electronic check payments from your tenants? Contact your Propertyware sales representative to learn more about this service, the associated costs and benefits.

3. Propertyware will no longer be supporting the Portals SDK for service requests. Customers using the SDK for collecting service requests will need to link to their Tenant Portal after Propertyware’s Spring ’08 new version upgrade.

We appreciate your patience and look forward to hearing more feedback once the new version is available. As always, Propertyware’s Customer Support Department is available to answer any technical questions pertaining to the Propertyware Spring ’08 Release.
