Active and Inactive Auto Charges
An Active Auto Charge is a recurring charge that has a recurrence End Date that is set either sometime in the future, or no set End Date at all, meaning that the recurrence will continue indefinitely.
An example of an Active Rent Auto Charge would be $1,000, set with a recurring monthly frequency, to begin as of the lease start date and end with the lease end date.
An Inactive Auto Charge is a recurring charge that will not recur on the tenant ledger because it has either:
reached its recurrence End Date (i.e., End Date has passed), or
not yet reached its recurrence Start Date(i.e., Start Date set in the future)
Inactive Auto Charges appear as grayed out line items from the Auto Charges table of a Lease Summary Page. This table will track historical Auto Charges on a lease, helping you to identify yearly rent hikes and schedule rent increases in the future.
