Creating Rent Increases
To Create a Rent Increase on a Lease:
Locate the applicable lease by using Search or the Lease Navigator.
click the Summary button from the sub-navigation bar.
From the Lease's Summary Page, click the Edit button.
Scroll down to the Auto Charges table.
In order to create a rent increase, you must have a Rent Auto Charge with a Start andEnd Date displayed within the Auto Charges table.
If you don't have a Rent Auto Charge on your lease, click the New Auto Charge button and create an Auto Charge with a fixed End Date. If a charge is set with an End Date, it will no longer post to the tenant ledger after this End Date.
If you already have a Rent Auto Charge with an End Date set on a lease, you may create a new Auto Charge that begins the day after the current Auto Charge's End Date (i.e., Start Date set on the next day).
Any charges created with a Start Date in the future will appear inactive, i.e., grayed out, on the Auto Charges table of the Lease's Summary Page.
You can set up an Alert to notify the appropriate users of the scheduled rent increase before it occurs.
