What is a Lease?
In Propertyware, a Lease represents the contract between landlord and tenant (or tenants). A Lease contains the terms of the contract, any payments and charges, tenant contact information, and the details of the property the tenant is occupying. Leases are found within the Leases tab of the application, and they appear uniformly in a purple color scheme.
Propertyware leases make managing the contract between owner and tenant very easy for property managers:
You may upload documents and attach notes to a lease, such as an executed copy of the scanned paper lease by both landlord and tenant.
You can set up Auto Charges -- are automatic recurring rent charges set to specific date and/or time intervals, so that the system will prompt you when rent payments are due.
Each lease has a Tenant Ledger that tracks all charges, payments, refunds, credits and adjustments between you and your tenant, so that you can monitor the tenant's standing.
Closely integrated with both the Properties and Contacts tabs of the application, Propertyware leases provide users a complete understanding of their tenants and the properties they occupy.
