The Property Navigator, located on the left sidebar within the Properties Tab, allows you to search through your properties by Portfolio, Building and Unit. The Property Navigator expands or contracts depending on the search filters that you choose; it also hides when you click on other menu items, such as My Tasks, from the left sidebar. You can search for your properties using one of the following tools found within the Property Navigator, or you may use them simultaneously to optimize your search:
(1) Filters. The top section of the Property Navigator contains drop down menus. Use them to filter your search results in the following ways:

"View By" Filter. This filter allows you to search and view your properties by either Portfolio or Building. If the filter is set to Portfolio, each Portfolio will display as a menu item within a shaded gray row, with each of its Buildings and Units displayed beneath the corresponding Portfolio. If the filter is set to Building, each Building will display as a menu item, with each of its Units displayed beneath the corresponding Building.

Active / Inactive Filter. This filter allows you to view the portfolios and properties that are either active or inactive in your Propertyware subscription.
(2) Property Navigator Menu. Once you select the desired filters for your properties, the properties appear in the window below, which is called the Property Navigator Menu; the Property Navigator Menu organizes your properties based on the filter set above, in the form of a tree menu. Use the scroll bar move up and down the list of search results displayed within this menu. The tree menu uses the following icons to represent your portfolio and building structure:

Portfolios are identified by a yellow portfolio icon.

Buildings are identified by a blue building icon.

Units are identified by a blue building icon with a single red door, indicating a single unit.
Buildings with one or more Units display with a plus (+) sign, which you can click for a submenu of Units arranged either alphabetically by name or sequentially by unit number. When you click a specific Portfolio, Building or Unit, each a link, a detail page for that item will display on the page found to the right of the Property Navigator Menu.
