When you access our site using a modern browser, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology protects your information using both server authentication and data encryption, ensuring that your data is safe, secure, and available only to registered users in your organization. Your data is completely inaccessible to anyone without proper credentials.

Propertyware provides each user in your organization with a unique username and password that must be entered each time a user logs in. Propertyware issues a session "cookie" only to record encrypted authentication information for the duration of a specific session. The session "cookie" does not include either the username and password of the user. Propertyware does not use "cookies" to store other confidential user and session information, but instead implements more advanced security methods based on dynamic data and encoded session IDs.

Propertyware protects your data through extensive security measures, including dedicating a team of employees to security and using various third party and proprietary security technologies. In addition, Propertyware is hosted in a secure server environment that requires thumbprint ID photo identification to gain entry. Propertyware also uses a firewall and other advanced technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders.

Physical Security	Our data center is collocated near San Francisco, CA at a facility that provides: 24 hour, 7 days a week, 365 days a year of physical security including video surveillance and intruder alerts systems. Biometric palm print and picture identification to enter the building, followed by a security guard access point. Pre-authorized controlled locked access in to server room. Redundant t electrical generators, redundant data center air conditioners, and other backup equipment designed to keep servers continually up and running.
Internet Firewalls	Firewalls block all attempts to access our data center other than from methods and points that we allow. In addition, Propertyware monitors and analyzes firewall logs to proactively identify security threats.
128-bit Secure Socket Layer Data Encryption	Propertyware leverages the industry's strongest encryption products to protect customer data and communications, including 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certification and 1024 Bit RSA public keys. When accessing the Propertyware application, your login with the unique ID and password that we require starts a connection where all data is passed back and forth encrypted. Just check for the lock icon on your browser which indicates that your data is fully shielded from access while in transit. This is the same technology used by banks and online trading companies when transmitting data over the Internet.
Password Protected Access	Access to the Propertyware application is controlled to only registered users who have a unique user name and a password. In order to make this process more secure, we us enforce the use of difficult to guess passwords. As an added check in the event of a forgotten password, we also ask registrants to specify a security question and answer. Further, if anyone tries to access the application by guessing at a user's ID and password, the account will be locked out after 3 attempts.
User Role Level Access Idle Timeouts	As an administrator of the Propertyware application you can assign every user a specific role with specific permissions to only see and use the features related to their own jobs. The application also detects if a user's connection is idle and automatically disconnects to prevent someone else from sitting at your computer and using your access.
Daily Data Backups	Regular backups of your data are integrated into our standard service. In addition to daily backups, we conduct full system-wide backups every week, and store the data in a separate, fire-safe facility.
Powerful Internet Backbone	Having a direct connection to the three major Internet backbone providers ensures that there are no data transmission bottlenecks to our data center..
Database Security	Whenever possible, database access is controlled at the operating system and database connection level for additional security. Access to production databases is limited to a number of points, and production databases do not share a master password database.
Server Management Security	You own all data entered into the Propertyware application. Propertyware employees do not have direct access to the Propertyware production equipment, except where necessary for system management, maintenance, monitoring, and backups. Propertyware does not utilize any managed service providers. The Propertyware systems engineering team provides all system management, maintenance, monitoring, and backups.
